About Computer Science & Engineering
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering in VITS provide students with a healthy combination of research and practice. In an Endeavour to nurture students to cope with the ever changing environment in technology, the department of CSE aims to give a strong foundation in computer science and problem-solving techniques.
Why-CSE@VITS
The programs have been planned to offer a blend of computational, problem solving technologies and other information retrieving/processing tools so as to provide the student with the requisite know-how for solving real life problems thereby enabling them to enter the world of opportunities with flying colors and capitalize the huge IT market.
Vision
Our vision is to offer up to date and flexible programs which will allow our graduates to be competitive in the job market. We strive to provide a hands-on approach in teaching computer related courses. To this end we are increasing the capacity of our computer laboratories as well as equipping them with the latest in hardware and software
Course Structure & Outcome
VITS follows the course structure decided by the JNTUHyderabad. We provide a 4 year course for the B.Tech program.

The mission of the Department of Computer Science is to offer high-quality education in the computing fields and an environment conducive to research for both students and faculty. Our programs provide graduate and undergraduate students with theoretical and applied knowledge, and adopt a liberal arts education approach that promotes lifelong learning and ethical growth
Infrastructure
Department of CSE equipped with best and top class infrastructure, where students can use the facilities to improve their academic performances. The labs are provided with the latest computer systems and softwares for the students to work on multiple projects.The department has 550 computers with latest versions of computer software and hardware. .

Department Achievements
1. P.Pradeep Kumar HoD CSE achieved best paper award in International Conference held at VITS-Karimnagar 2. Dr. M.Anjan Kumar nominated for Bharth Jyothi award& Young Researcher in Computer Science & Eng. In Telangana - Global Outreach Educational Awards 2018. 3. Dr.M.Anjan Kumar got 100% result in A.Y 2017-18 for IV .B.Tech CSE (Subject: Multimedia and Rich Internet Applications) 4. K.Shashikanth recognised as Silver Partner of Infosys Campus Connect. 5. K.Shashikanth participated in Workshop”In Vehicle Network Using CAN” organised by ISM University. Student Achievements 1. A. RajaReddy (III B.Tech CSE) secured one gold medal and one silver medal in karate international tournament held at Bangalore. 2. Sai Chander Reddy awarded as best performer with 87.11% out of 980 trainees.
Department Events
CSE Department, organizes co-curricular and extra- curricular activities for an all-round development of students. Student Chapters of IEEE, ACM, CSI and ISTE conduct events through out the year, keeping students busy beyond-the-classroom activities like organized blood donation camps, charity donation to orphan home and Old age homes also did several awareness programs on traffic rules, clay idols of Ganapathi, Haritha Haram initiated by Government of Telangana.
